Hosting
This website is hosted by a service provider that delivers the site. Technically necessary access data such as IP address, time of access and the page requested are processed in the process. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation.
Contacting us
If you reach us through the contact form, by email or by telephone, we process your details solely in order to handle your enquiry. Through the form we collect your name and email address, and optionally your company, phone number and the type of service you are interested in. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries, otherwise your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The details are sent to our mailbox by email and stored there; no database is involved. The data is deleted once it is no longer required for that purpose and no retention obligations apply. To prevent automated submissions we temporarily store your IP address.
Applications
Details submitted through the form on the careers page are processed solely to conduct the application procedure. The legal basis is § 26 (1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR, together with your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time with future effect. The data is processed separately from general enquiries and deleted no later than six months after the procedure concludes, provided no appointment is made and no statutory retention obligations apply. We do not collect details about the content of a criminal record certificate through the form; such documents are presented in person. To prevent automated submissions we temporarily store your IP address.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set any cookies for analytics or marketing purposes and does not embed external tracking services.
Encryption
This website is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS). You can recognise this by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar. Data you send us cannot be read by third parties in transit.
Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access to which data we process and for what purpose (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate or completion of incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data, unless retention obligations apply (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Receipt of your data in a common format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient to exercise these rights.
Withdrawing consent
Where processing is based on your consent — for instance when applying through the form on the careers page — you may withdraw it at any time with future effect. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. An informal email is sufficient.
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe the processing of your data infringes applicable law, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, Germany
No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place. Applications are decided on by people only.
Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy whenever our processing or the legal situation changes. The version available on this page applies.
